What data we collect

• Name, email, phone / WhatsApp
• Pickup and drop-off details, travel dates, flight number
• Number of passengers, luggage notes, special requests
• Payment information processed by payment providers. We do not store full card numbers.
• Messages you send us
• Limited website usage data (IP, device, pages, cookies)

Why we collect it

• To process and fulfill bookings
• To communicate about the transfer
• To process payments and refunds
• To improve the website and service
• To send booking-related messages
• Marketing messages only with prior express consent

Legal basis

We process data with your consent, to perform the transportation contract, and to comply with applicable law — including Ley 8968 (Ley de Protección de la Persona frente al Tratamiento de sus Datos Personales) and Costa Rica consumer-protection rules for e-commerce.

Who we share data with

• The assigned driver/operator, only as needed to provide the transfer
• Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal or similar)
• Hosting, website, email and WhatsApp tools
• Authorities if legally required
• We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

Data may be processed in Costa Rica and in countries where our website, email or payment providers operate. We take reasonable measures to protect that data.

Retention

• We keep booking and payment records only as long as needed for the service, accounting, dispute handling and legal obligations.
• We do not keep data longer than necessary. As a general guideline, we do not retain ordinary customer data longer than 10 years without a legal reason.

Your rights (ARCO + international)

Under Costa Rica Ley 8968 and similar international standards, you may request:

• Access to your data
• Correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion / right to be forgotten where applicable
• Withdrawal of consent
• Information about who has received your data

How to exercise your rights

• Email book@evtourcr.com with the subject “Data request”.
• Include your full name and enough information to identify the booking.
• We will respond as soon as reasonably possible and in line with Costa Rica law (aim: 5 business days where applicable).

Children

This service is for adults booking travel. We do not knowingly collect data from children for marketing.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

• In Costa Rica, data-protection complaints may also be brought before PRODHAB (Agencia de Protección de Datos de los Habitantes).
